Agile is the ultimate plan-driven method

In several publications, I sometimes see a comparison of "agile" vs. "plan-driven" methodologies.  Having worked with agile development for years, I cannot imagine approaching agile development without a plan.  Every day, every week, every iteration, and every release, we plan.  We continuously plan based on new information that becomes available, our plan adapts, and our plan remains current.  We are by far the most plan-driven I have ever been.

Markets, business, people, technology, requirements, etc. evolve - shouldn't plans?
