hmmm... Your original acceptance test was lack of Guitar Hero III. You moved to a whole new infrastructure with a higher monthly overhead cost to still not pass the acceptance test.

Do I need to send Uncle Bob your way to refresh your understanding of refactoring and TDD?
Have you lost touch with your customer?

;-)

No Guitar Hero III, think of the children!
Can't use iPhone while driving?.... D'oh!

Mike Cottmeyer

I have no respect for myself for wanting the iPhone as badly as I did. I will never be able to justify why I switched. The thing is just cool.

Even with its shortcomings (no GHIII), I still like it better than the Blackberry. Maybe that is enough to overcome my premise that it is not ready for the business community.

"But Mr. CFO, it integrates so nicely with iTunes"

:-)

This post was solely designed to wake me up and keep my Monday morning more interesting. Hopefully it made yours more interesting too!!!

Thanks for the reply!

Mike

Oh... I forgot. I don't have GHIII but I did get Monkey Ball in the trade!

I am your mirror-image...Addicted to crack(berry), made the jump to iPhone, fell in lust with it's sleekness, but missed everything the function of the BB. So I got back on the crack(berry) wagon 5 days ago and I don't miss the iPhone at all!

Here's my sort of out of date blog post about it. http://editweapon.com/form-vs-function-iphone-vs-blackberry/

PS - I found your blog while trying to figure out if I can eBay my iPhone.

Mike Cottmeyer

Thanks for the post. I liked your blogs and followed some of the links. I have experienced pretty much all the stuff others are seeing with the iPhone.

I used to be a Blackberry power user. I was in meetings all day, on the road, and really needed the BB to stay on top of meetings and such.

Now, when I travel I am typically running training classes, and when not travelling, either at my desk or in a coffee shop. My smartphone use has radically changed. So... while I miss some of the more business friendly features of the blackberry, I am at a place where the iPhone suits my needs a little better.

Let me know how it goes selling your iPhone on eBay. Maybe when the Bold comes out I'll switch back with you!

Mike
