Brilliant!
Single wringable neck. It's so important and it's also important to understand why someone first accepts being appointed product owner and then claim not having time.

It's more important to assign the person who have the time and know how to get an answer than appointing a person who have all the answers but not the time to give the answers.

Thanks for the comment Anna, I find it hard to argue with your 'brilliant' comment ;-)

I had a conversation with one of our V1 folks yesterday about this post. Her take was that most Product Managers are just not willing to do the PO role. I still think it might just be too big a role for one person in most organizations.

Regardless, having that single point of ownership is a powerful concept, we just (as a community) need to think through how to handle the situation when it IS too big a role and how to get people the help they need.

Although I have just started with agile, I think this article is a wonderful read.
